NY Weeping Icons at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church
March 2010 marks the 50-year anniversary of the day many people say a framed picture of the Virgin Mary began weeping. The icon is now housed at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Paul in Hempstead. It is a Greek custom to place a metal offering behind the Virgin Mary icon in thanks for a miracle performed in answer to one's prayers. March 16 marks the 50 year anniversary of the day many people say a framed picture of the Virgin Mary began weeping.
