In 1999, severely ill from GI bleeding with no answers from doctors, Philip heard a voice say, "So, Philip, how’s it working for you, relying on the doctors and the hospital to get better?" He prayed deeply and felt Mother Mary’s comfort. Come morning, he was fully healed.

In 2018, Philip was diagnosed with severe prostate cancer. He visited Medjugorje and, while there, felt a healing. Upon returning home, the doctors were baffled; both large tumors were gone. The doctors called it a miracle, and he was fully healed.

In 1999, Philip Donahue had severe GI bleeding and was admitted to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. After four days of testing, including MRI, CAT scans, and antibiotics, doctors were unable to determine the source of the bleeding. As he was scheduled to be sent home, Philip showed the doctor the bleeding in the bathroom. The doctor was shocked at the amount of blood, consulted with other physicians, and determined that he had an artery that was bleeding. Surgery was scheduled for the next morning.

After his wife left, he was feeling very upset, thinking, "This shouldn't be happening to me, I'm 48years old. What did I do wrong to deserve this?" This went on for 10 to 15 minutes. Then, all of a sudden, I heard this beautiful, powerful male voice. The voice spoke to me and said, "So, Philip, how's it working for you, relying on the doctors and the hospital to get better?"

I immediately thought someone was pranking me, joking with me. I looked around, under the bed and around the room. There was nobody there. After several seconds, it dawned on me that something was going on.

So I answered, "It's not working." Then the voice said, "So, when are you going to turn to your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for help?" Instantly, it hit me like a ton of bricks.I didn't relise for the four days I was there I had not made one single prayer. So I answered the voice that I was going to do it right now.

"I waited for the voice and have not heard that voice since then. I never heard it before, and I'm turning 75 next week. It was the only time I ever heard a voice talking to me. I was pinching myself, trying to find out if I was dreaming. I was not dreaming; it was an absolute voice."

"So I went into a very deep, powerful prayer, and I was in it for a while. Then, all of a sudden, I felt like I was a little baby being held in my mother's arms or in the arms of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I was snuggling with my left arm rubbing against this holy being that was holding me. I was feeling great. It was like a beautiful blue light—not baby blue, not dark blue, but a neon blue that was pulsating. It just felt extraordinarily peaceful. I fell asleep."
