Seeing Mary, Allegedly, In Heaven

February 4, 2017 - From [Spirit Daily]. Often -- usually -- in near-death experiences, Jesus is described, as well as deceased loved ones and angels, but less often, saints, including Mary. We just don't hear of it often. Not so with a Protestant named Gladys Hargis of Kansas, whose original book, You Live Forever, we have carried for some time, and who has come out with a smaller volume expanding on her experience, which occurred on August 5, 2006 -- sharing "some of the things that I left out of my first book, because I thought it was supposed to be my secret, and I did not want to share it with everyone. I soon realized that the pushing and the urging [to do it] from unknown sources, which floated in and out of my mind, makes it impossible to keep it to myself."

A key secret: the Blessed Virgin.

"As I got closer to the bright light, I glanced to my left and saw a woman who looked so beautiful," recalls Gladys, who is now 86 and ailing. "She was dressed like a queen. She was sitting in a comfortable chair, with grace and leisure.

"She looked like royalty, with a small crown on her head. Her hair was coiled and piled upon her head. It looked like her hair had been done up just to hold her crown in place, yet it looked like it would have stayed in place anyway.

"The jewels around her neck were of diamonds and pearls. Her veil was worn around the back of her head and down over her shoulders and then wrapped around her arms, as if hugging her.

"I knew who she was in an instant, and it took my breath away."

The Blessed Mother, from this description, was close to the Throne -- at a level, in a reach of Heaven, perhaps not glimpsed by the vast majority of those who report near-death episodes.

There was also an encounter with Saint Therese, who was "sitting near a bed of roses of all shades," the scent of which was "overwhelming," the roses so vibrant they seemed as if they were "singing among themselves."

"Before I returned to my earthly home, I saw the Virgin Mary and Saint Therese, both in the garden, who gave me all this love. I have for everyone. When I put Therese, in my book, I did not know who she was. (I am a Baptist, and we do not study the saints. It is a shame, since we all worship the same God, that we do not know who the saints are). I am pleased and excited since learning who she was. I feel blessed to have been able to meet them both, and had a chance to visit with them in person. I also described the heavenly angels, and what they looked like in full and how they differ from other angels."

And so more insights (for our individual judgment)!

There is more. We'll not spoil the book. Let us simply say the four angels around Mary are described as regal. Gladys didn't want the visit to end. "She was my mother, my sister, my friend," she writes, of the Blessed Mother, "all wrapped in one package."
